It's always easiest to be intimate in the dark.
the affair of polygamy no one talks about--
between reservation and trust and reservation again
between distance and union and distance again
between the assumed and the spoken and the assumed again.
and until we know that intimacy
is willful exposure,
until we know that self-love is the precedent
to healthy exposure,
we will continue to lubricate ourselves with confusion.
we will expect until our expectations
exceed our needs.
until our intimacy becomes dishonesty.
instead, we will learn...
to climax with surrender,
to be intimate in the light.
